100 Years On… The Long Road to Gender Equality

7th March 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Why is it that 100 years since some women were first granted the vote, we still do not have parity with men in the public or private spheres? How do we change the course of the future so that 100 years from now, gender equality is a normal and well established principle in our society?

These are the questions we intend to ask – and hopefully to answer – at this women’s equality discussion. We’re bringing together a panel of high-profile women in Nottingham to share the benefit of their insights and experience in regard to the ongoing campaign for women’s rights and gender equality.

Currently our panel includes…

  • Sandeep Mahal – Director, Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature
  • Professor Shearer West – Vice Chancellor, University of Nottingham
  • Rabbi Tanya Sakhnovich – Rabbi, Nottingham Liberal Synagogue

This event will be open to the public (both women and men). Free tickets are available from Eventbrite.

Doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start and the event will close between 8.30pm and 9pm. Tea/coffee and a cold buffet of light bites will be available at the venue.
